IN PARTNERSHIP WITH MYWAY.

ABOUT US

The Community Youth Team supports young people in Plymouth aged 11–19 (and up to 25 for those with additional needs or disabilities). We create safe, inclusive spaces where young people can learn, grow, and thrive.

We also work with partners across the city to deliver opportunities that promote inclusion, resilience, and youth voice. Whether it’s street-based engagement, digital projects, or social action campaigns, our goal is simple: to empower young people and make Plymouth a great place to grow up.

OUR ROLE IN MYWAY

We’re here to deliver early help and youth work-led wellbeing support that feels approachable and empowering. Rooted in core youth work principlesβ€”voluntary participation, building relationships, and promoting choiceβ€”our approach ensures support is accessible, informal, and shaped around what matters to young people

Through safe spaces, themed group sessions, and one-to-one conversations, we help young people build confidence, resilience, and life skills. We also work closely with parents, carers, and partner agencies to provide joined-up support and clear signposting to services like Kooth and Young Devon, so everyone knows where to turn for help.

Our work combines open-access sessions, targeted support, and creative projects to help young people:

Build confidence and life skills

Take part in shaping their community
