PLAN B
WHAT IS PLANB?
Plan B is a unique project from Young Devon. It grew from our Supported Lodgings Service; giving young people the package of wrap-around support, to help take small steps towards a more positive future.
Plan B is here for young people when Plan A hasn’t worked out.
This isn’t about a second choice, it’s about finding a path that works for you. With Plan B, you get support at your own pace, so you can start to feel more in control and take steps towards your future.
We know life can feel overwhelming sometimes. That’s why Plan B is about more than just a place to stay, it’s about giving you the right support, at your pace, to help you feel more in control.
“Plan B helped me to overcome my past problems, help me to decide on future career prospects and get a place on a college course.”
AMY’S STORY
Amy can now see a future with hope. This wasn’t always the case. Emotional distress and severe trauma triggered serious identity issues. Many found her behaviour challenging, life at home was extremely difficult, and she was excluded from mainstream education.
Young Devon helped Amy to understand where all her overwhelming emotions came from and how to be in control of managing them.
“Staff are amazing and fight for us. I like the fact that Plan B staff are friendly, hardworking and that they care whereas some other services don’t”
Working with Young Devon has encouraged Amy to form an identity she can relate to and face the future with optimism.
“Thank you to everyone for helping me. If it wasn’t for Plan B, I would be in Prison right now”
