WELLBEING PRACTITIONER IN-TRAINING

  • 2 x roles in Exeter and 2 x roles in Plymouth

  • £25,769 per annum

  • Full-time - 37 hours per week

  • Fixed-Term contract for 12 months, with an aim to seek continued funding.

We have been supporting the wellbeing of young people in Devon for over 20 years and this is a chance to work for a respected local Charity within an established experienced team. We are looking for someone who shares our values and enjoys working with young people to continue to develop the offer and respond to local need.

This is an employment-based training role forming part of a Department of Health (DoH) initiative to expand the metal health workforce offering support to children and young people at a stage of early intervention.

The role involves delivering (under supervision) high-quality, outcome-informed, evidence-based interventions for children and young people aged 8-18 years experiencing mild to moderate anxiety, low mood and behavioural difficulties. Training and service experience will equip the post holder with the necessary knowledge, attitudes and capabilities to operate effectively in an inclusive, value-driven service.

The training is delivered by Exeter University. The post holder will be expected to attend all university taught and self-study days as specified within the agreed national curriculum, and work in the service for the remaining days of the week using their newly developed skills.
