Join us and make a difference at Young Devon as our next…

Youth Worker - Participation (26-41)

Salary – £26,414 pro rata, per annum

3 days per week (20.6 hours) – based in Exeter.

Permanent contract.

Do you believe young people should have real influence over the services, opportunities and decisions that affect their lives? Are you passionate about building relationships with young people, creating safe spaces for their voices to be heard and supporting them to shape meaningful change in their communities? Young Devon is looking for a Youth Worker to support the development of participation and youth voice opportunities across our services and projects.

Through a relationship-based Youth Work approach, you will support young people to explore their identity, strengths and aspirations whilst creating opportunities for them to contribute to projects, influence decisions and shape the development of services through participation, co-design and feedback. You will work alongside young people to create engaging activities, groups and opportunities that support confidence, connection and belonging, whilst helping Young Devon remain responsive, inclusive and shaped by the experiences and voices of young people.

We are looking for someone who can build positive and trust-based relationships with young people, is creative and reflective in their practice and believes in the value of young people taking an active role in shaping their communities and services. If you think you have what it takes (see person specification on the JD) then we would love to hear from you. We welcome applications from those with lived experience who have transferable skills.
