Lynn worked in Further Education for nearly 30 years.
She began her career as a Lecturer in Health and Social care, soon progressing with her first management role as Deputy Head of School. The focus of Lynn’s career has been the role of the personal tutor in supporting learning and curriculum development. A series of promotions led to Lynn becoming Deputy Principal at Stockport College, her role was to address the issues identified by an Ofsted Inspection. She led an effective team and moved the unsatisfactory grade profile to an outstanding one.
Lynn’s first Principal post was at Stockport College, followed by her second Principal post at Bristol College. While at Bristol College, Lynn Chaired a social enterprise called Restore Trust which worked with disadvantaged adults, including those both in, and released from, prison.
Following a serious illness, Lynn left Bristol College and established her own company in professional coaching. She greatly enjoyed working with CEOs and senior staff to develop their skills and professional role.
Lynn was attracted to the Board of Young Devon as she believes her values and that of the Charity are compatible. Lynn has an overriding desire to work with people who need assistance to fulfil their ambitions.
In her personal life, Lynn enjoys walking, reading and playing Bridge.
