Ali set up her business, Paramount 21 Ltd, in 1988. Manufacturing frozen seafood and vegetarian products for the food service industry globally, her factory is based at Heathfield, Newton Abbot and her business employs 120 people. In 2016, Ali moved to the role of Chairman of Paramount 21 Ltd, but still plays an active, supportive and strategic role whenever possible.
Ali has been involved with a number of organisations. She has been a part of the British Frozen Food Federation (BFFF) for almost 30 years, holding various positions including President for 2 years, Chair of the Audit Committee for over 4 years and Director. She has also joined the Board of Fifteen Cornwall and taken on the role of Chairman at Plymouth Albion Rugby Football Club.
