Grant donations will vary, depending on individual applications and requirements.
Start-up Grant
For young people launching a new business.

Grant requirements:
person Aged 18-30
location_on Business is UK-based
emoji_objects Business is not yet trading or has started within the last two months
payments You can demonstrate a clear financial need
Please note that SWEF does not provide grant funding for the following:
• Salaries, rent, debt repayment
• Software subscriptions
• New laptops, phones, or tablets (refurbished items may be considered)
Key requirement: Applicants must show they have taken significant steps to develop their business idea, beyond just planning.
SWEF provides each Grant recipient the opportunity to join a network of peers who are also in the early stage of starting their business to share ideas, experiences and learn.
All successful applicants will also receive a year membership to the Devon and Plymouth Chamber of Commerce; providing chances to make professional connections and contacts in a wide, local business network.

For young business owners looking to grow their company.

Grant requirements:

work You are the majority owner
emoji_objects The business is your main work focus or will be soon
payments You can demonstrate a financial need for the grant
Please note that SWEF does not provide grant funding for the following:
• Salaries, rent, debt repayment
• Software subscriptions
• New laptops, phones, or tablets (refurbished items may be considered)
Larger business expenses? If you need funding for an item over £2,000, SWEF may contribute up to 25% of the total cost
Key requirement: Applicants must provide quotes or links for any purchases they plan to make with the grant.

The Training Fund
Helping young people in Devon get into employment or training...

edit The Training and Employment Support Grant is for any young person aged 16-30 years old who is entering training, an apprenticeship or starting a job after being unemployed
styler This Grant will help young people pay for any essential item/s which may help to remove barriers to accessing or remaining in training or work
group Employment and mentoring support will also be given to all Training and Employment Support Grant recipients who also qualify under Young Devon’s existing support programmes.
