Andrew joined the voluntary sector in 1999 and since then has held a number of senior leadership roles for various organisations; with his responsibilities largely focused on business development, project management, operations and partnerships. Andrew is a graduate of the University of Plymouth, with a specific interest in business leadership; having recently published research in leadership and the voluntary sector.

Andrews role at Young Devon is to lead on the development of business opportunities across the organisation, and to oversee the data capture function. Within this role, Andrew supports any areas of new development; which includes project planning, fundraising and partnerships. As part of his data capture role, Andrew oversees the mechanisms for gathering whole organisation data and evidencing distance travelled of young people using services.
