As a charity, Young Devon has a proud history (we’re 70 next year!!) of supporting young people in Devon when they need it most. Just like all charities we always need to consider how to raise funds for the services we deliver.

Over the last year we’ve been developing an exciting catering offer at Market Street in Newton Abbot where we not only served fantastic food (trust me it was great, I did extensive testing) but also gave opportunities for young people to get training and experience in catering and hospitality.

Having proved we can deliver two great products in one – good food and good opportunities for young people – we have taken the leap of opening a new site which gives us more space to serve people and more chances to give young people a start in the industry.

We’re delighted to be opening a new café and kitchen called YD at Number 3 in Totnes where we will be serving the same great food, fantastic cakes (again I have sacrificed myself for in depth testing) and all in a lovely environment. A bigger venue is more economical and also creates more opportunities for young people.

We would love to welcome you and to enjoy some refreshment in the knowledge that all of the profits are invested in supporting local young people. So you will be doing two good things at once! If you’d like more information do get in touch with us and if you would like to support the work of Young Devon please go to our donate pages. Otherwise I look forward to seeing you at YD at Number 3.
