Initially developed by young people, Youth Assured provides this – through 4 rationales:
Services are young person centred
Services occur in appropriate environments
Services are accessible and transparent
Services are anti-oppressive in practise.

Youth Assured enables the service to conduct their own self assessment – identifying what works, what doesn’t and what gaps exist.   
Although young people undertaking the Young Assessor module of PIA could be trained to work with other tools, Youth Assured will be the main focus of their training and, therefore, organisations who adopt it can quickly involve PIA trained young people in a subsequent service inspection process.
