Princes Trust are recruiting young people for September

Prince’s Trust are now recruiting for their next Team Program Starting 25th September, aimed at 16-25 year old young people who are NOT in Employment, Education or Training. category about

The course is the perfect opportunity to learn new skills, work on a community project, find and complete work experience, and gain a qualification!

The course will run from 27th September, Monday - Friday 10am - 4pm for 12 weeks. We will refund your travel so you can get to us and once you have completed the course you can choose between a £50 voucher, provisional drivers license, or Acer Tablet.

In the past our Princes Trust teams have gone to Dartmoor for a week of fun outdoors, kayaking, rock climbing, canoeing! Once back in Newton Abbot the team embarks on a community project, working together to plan and carry out a project they feel will benefit the community. In the past groups have helped to revamp local community gardens, or redecorated The Change Academy.

Once the team have decided on a project, it's fundraising time! This is your time to get creative. Sponsored leg wax? Cake sale? The possibilities are endless but prepare yourself for a week of fun!

After your project is complete then it is time to support you to find the work experience you want! We can help you contact local businesses to discover the perfect work experience for you. Many young people often go on to find full time employment after the course due to their work experience, it is the perfect opportunity for you to learn new skills and make contacts in an area of work you're interested in.

Once we have provided you with guidance and tips for your CV's and interview techniques, you move on to your final project. The Team Challenge is your opportunity to work together to plan and deliver something to people who you feel are vulnerable in the community.

All of our programmes are delivered in a way that engages, supports and challenges you in a way that takes into account your personal circumstances. If you or someone you know is interested in joining the course, please get in touch with Ruth Glen, Skills & Qualifications Manager OR 07830364003.
