The Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse is the largest public enquiry ever to be established in the UK.
7% of adults aged 16 - 59 reported being a victim of child sexual abuse. The inquiry wants to consider the exents to which state and non-state institutions have failed in their duty of care to protect children from sexual abuse and child exploitation. They want to consider the necessary steps to take in order to protect children from sexual abuse and exploitation.
The Truth Project aims to collect as many stories as possible to understand how and why children were failed and find better ways to protect children in the future. They want to hear from you if;
- you were sexually abused as a child, and;
- you were let down by an organisation that should have protected you.
You can share your views and experiences with them in a supportive and confidential setting through The Truth Project. You will be listend to with compassion and won't be judged.
