A Big Thank You to Exeter NCS Team 3

A Big Thank You to Exeter NCS Team 3

Huge thanks to the NCS group that have generously donated their time and resources to us at the Exeter YES centre over this last week! Not only have they helped give two of our most used rooms in the centre a new lease of life through decorating, they’ve also fundraised £290 for us to be able to spend where needed to further support young people. The NCS team initially came to us with an idea to provide a safe space where young people in crisis could get away to gather themselves, which is an insightful and brilliant idea. This coincided with our plans to rejuvenate our two most used rooms in…

Acceptance = Peace

Acceptance = Peace

Bea, a member of our Youth Council talks about what peace means to her for International Youth Day.... What is the meaning of a ‘peaceful world’? Is it a world where children are able to roam freely in their towns without the fear of harm? Is it a world where everyone is seen as equal regardless of culture, gender or sexual orientation? Or is it something completely different… This is a question that we as a society are trying to answer. For me, a peaceful world is one where discrimination is the taboo rather than religion. Where I, as a young person, can make my own decisions as to how I…
