More Than A Room - Join the Campaign

More Than A Room - Join the Campaign

In the last year Young Devon has provided over 48,000 bed nights for young people.  For us, that’s 48,000 too many. But whilst there are young people who need a roof over their head tonight, we will be here to help. But we can only do so much. Our funds are limited and we want to make sure that every one of the young people that we house feels like they are home.  To do this we need your help.  A few pounds can make such a difference.  So help us make a young person feel at home this Christmas. Just £5 will let them enjoy a Christmas lunch. £10 will buy a Christmas gift.  £100 will transform a…

Quizzes at the New Inn near Crediton raise £1,420 for Young Devon carers

We received a cheque for £1,420, thanks to enthusiasts who attend monthly quizzes at the New Inn, Coleford.  We currently have 500 young carers from West Devon & South Hams area aged between 5 to 18yrs registered with the service.  The funding that has been raised by The New Inn will be used to support a number of activities and trips. The activities are vital as they help to decrease the young carer’s sense of isolation and they are able to meet other children & young people in similar situations.  They also have the opportunity to engage in leisure opportunities that often they miss…

A Big Thank You to Exeter NCS Team 3

A Big Thank You to Exeter NCS Team 3

Huge thanks to the NCS group that have generously donated their time and resources to us at the Exeter YES centre over this last week! Not only have they helped give two of our most used rooms in the centre a new lease of life through decorating, they’ve also fundraised £290 for us to be able to spend where needed to further support young people. The NCS team initially came to us with an idea to provide a safe space where young people in crisis could get away to gather themselves, which is an insightful and brilliant idea. This coincided with our plans to rejuvenate our two most used rooms in…
