Food really can improve our mood! It is important to remember that what we put in our body not only affects our physical health but also affects our mental health! 

Mind have released an important video to help us make healthy choices about the food we eat for the benefit of our mental health!!

Mind says that 'If your blood sugar drops you might feel tired, irritable and depressed'

This doesn't mean we should be eating sugary foods all the time to help boost our sugar levels! But actually, we should be eating healthy, nutritious food that releases energy slowly.

The next time you feel low or irritated, don't reach for that easy chocolate bar to give you a mood boost - it can actually make things worse. It's easy to find healthy, delicious treats to put you in a good mood. 

Remember eating healthy does not have to be boring or daunting, it's a chance to experiment and learn more about food!
