BPAG

Prince's Trust

They give practical and financial support, developing key workplace skills such as confidence and motivation. They work with 13 to 30-year-olds who have struggled at school, have been in care, are long-term unemployed or have been in trouble with the law.

Rape Crisis

Samaritans

Volunteers offer support by responding to phone calls, emails and letters. Alternatively people can drop in to a branch to have a face to face meeting.

somewhereto_ is a nationwide project to help young people find the space they need to do the things they love within sport, culture and the arts.

Run by Livity, in partnership with Channel 4, the project is funded by Legacy Trust UK, creating a lasting impact from the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games by funding ideas and local talent to inspire creativity across the UK.

Our aim is to help improve the lives of thousands of young people and create thousands of success stories, today and in the future.

 

Somerset rural youth project

Somerset Rural Youth Projecthttp://www.sryp.org.uk/ SRYP works in partnership with statutory and voluntary agencies and contributes to national developments as an active member of the voluntary sector.

SRYP uses a project-based approach where projects vary in size from small local initiatives to countywide services. Each project will have clearly identified aims and objectives to target delivery, accountability and fundraising. The main characteristics of which will be:

A flexible and responsive approach to the needs of young people, where they have a central role in the development and delivery of the programmes.

A willingness to experiment and be creative in areas of new and innovative practice.

A wide range of methods for engaging with young people including detached work, mobile provision, working with individuals, advice and information, rural youth club support and activity programmes.

SRYP will work generally, but not exclusively, in villages of less than 3,000 in population where SCC or other CHYPPS members are not providing a service with open access to all young people.

The Zone

The majority of their general advice services are for young people aged between 13 and 25 who live, work or learn in the Plymouth area but some projects work with younger children and some with young people from Tavistock and the South Hams.
