8 May 2012 11:22am - We are aware of some website display bugs on some browsers as a result of improving the menu navigation system. Bear with us while we fix these!
Young People of Devon (YPoD) are an independent body of young people who commit to support Young Devon in developing our services and ensuring that we are scrutinised in the same way we expect other services to be! YPoD are made up of Young Ambassadors (volunteers) who have their own HQ in our Change Academy building in Newton Abbot.
They conduct surveys with our service users, ensure our own services are inspected, support the Executive Committee to involve young people, advise Managers on the development of their services and support us to campaign on key issues we work with.
YPoD also have their own agenda – developing their own campaigns, supporting youth action teams with their community projects, running a creativity project where third sector organisations can get support with their design, websites and publicity and leading on marketing initiatives – e.g radio broadcasts, a newspaper column or film making.
YPoD co-ordinate the database of young people who have complete their PIA Training and can be contacted for bookings about events, conferences, requests for young people to attend interview panels etc.
For more information on YPoD join the Facebook group and ask the other members
