Children England is seeking organisations who wish to be reviewed and senior staff, trustees and relevant public service officers or members who wish to be considered as peers. There only a few places available for anyone wanting to train to become a peer reviewer or for organisations interested in being reviewed.
Children England is developing an exciting approach to improving organisations and services within the Children, Young People and Families' Voluntary Sector through a process of Peer Review, supported by the Department for Education
A Peer Review will typically last for two days and an organisation will be reviewed on key aspects of its work by a team of trained 'peers', drawn from other similar organisations. The process will highlight strengths, achievements and areas in need of further improvement. Quite simply, 'critical friends' will support your improvement journey.
The fully funded pilot stage will run from February 2012 for two months and we are seeking organisations who wish to be reviewed and senior staff, trustees and relevant public service officers or members who wish to be considered as peers.
Further details about the project and the training programme for the peer reviewers can be viewed on othe Children England website.
