Information available relates to activities outside the home – from after school art clubs to weekend reading groups. Safe Network resources are easily accessible on their website.
Young People of Devon (YPoD) are an independent body of young people who commit to support Young Devon in developing our services and ensuring that we are scrutinised in the same way we expect other services to be! YPoD are made up of Young Ambassadors (volunteers) who have their own HQ in our Change Academy building in Newton Abbot.
Young Devon has a commitment to the ongoing CPD of the sector. Work in partnership with Ellen Tinkham School we deliver person-centred training for a wide range of multi-agency staff, including teachers, head teachers, SENCO's, LSA's, social workers, Independent Reviewing Officers, and youth workers. This has significant impact on the way that professionals listen and respond to young people, and is working equally as well with young people that have emotional and behavioural difficulties as those with special educational needs.
