Accrediting Young Peoples Achievements~

 

 

Although we recognise the intrinsic value gained by young people involved in volunteering activities, we also understand the great sense of worth and achievement young people can feel when their efforts are rewarded. To this end we have a number of forms of accreditation and qualifications young people can achieve.

• ‘V’ certificates reward those young people who take their first steps towards volunteering, it can be for one off volunteering events they take part in or short burst mini volunteering challenges.

 

• MV recognises those young people between 16-25yrs who regularly volunteer. Young people count the hours of volunteering they do and are rewarded for reaching 50hrs, 100hrs and 200hrs of volunteering.

 

 

• CCV (Certificate in Community Volunteering) is an ASDAN recognised qualification that young people can gain. Young people build up a portfolio where they demonstrate their experience, knowledge and understanding of the benefits from volunteering within their community.

 

 

Along side these we also offer AQA accreditation, for the skills they learn within their volunteering groups including: Teamwork, communication skills and issue based skills.

 

Our aim is to provide a path of varying levels of involvement in volunteering, which young people can hop on and off from depending on what level they are at and what they want to achieve.
