The day-to-day leadership of Young Devon is the responsibility of our Service Leadership Group (SLG). This group meets on the second Thursday of the month. Each member of the SLG holds responsibility for the strategic direction and performance of their area of work, and the group is collectively responsible for the performance and strategic direction of the charity.
Ros is based at Newton Abbot YES centre with the lead role for strategic devlopment and delivery of Information, Advice and Rights sevices on behalf of Young Devon. Working with our workforce and partners to ensure high standard of services to our users, keeping them at the centre of our work.

As Head of Skills and Enterprise, Duncan’s role involves managing the contracts and delivery of Young Devon’s Skills programmes and qualifications across the whole county.
He is also contract manager for our Prince's Trust Team programme delivered in Newton Abbot, working alongside the colleges and youth work services to ensure there is support, choice and opportunity for those Young People where traditional forms of education do not match their learning needs.

Starting off as an unpaid trainee in a Heavy Metal press office in 1990, Dan spent 15 years in the creative industries before moving across to the charity sector at the start of 2005. Completing his Masters' at the ripe old age of 42, Dan joined Young Devon in 2011 from Plymouth Business School (PBS) where he was a Lecturer in Marketing. At PBS Dan discovered a real interest in employability and he was awarded the PBS Employability Champion Award for his work equipping young people with the skills and experiences they need in the jobs' market. Diane Rae has worked for Young Devon since 2000. During this time undertaking various roles and responsibilities in designing and providing support and accommodation for young people. Currently as Head of Service for Supported Lodgings with contracts in Plymouth, Torbay and Devon. The role also includes the lead for Safeguarding and Health & Safety. Sue joined Young Devon 20 years ago researching the views of young people living in rural Devon about housing and homelessness.
What Sue finds most satisfying working so long for the same organisation is seeing the young people she has worked with now living successfully in the community with families of their own.

My role is to support the development opportunities across the organisation and to oversee the data capture function. Within this role I support any areas of new development including project planning, fundraising and partnerships. As part of the data capture role I oversee the headline data reporting through Views as well as our mechanism for capturing distance travelled of young people using our services.
